    Large group retreats or Conferences are our main work here at St. Benedicts. This section is the general description of what is involved. The prices listed here are for Jan. 2016 on - a $2 dollar raise per category - our first raise in five years.

St. Benedict is a Roman Catholic Retreat Center and makes its facilities available to groups to conduct their own retreats and gatherings year round. In order to fulfill its mission the first priority for booking the Retreat Center is given to Catholic Church groups . Then, in descending order, "self-help" groups such as AA and the like; university and college sponsored organizations; non-affiliated, individual groups; commercial or business groups.

 Bank Road Although St. Benedict is at the edge of the Willamette National Forest our elevation is only 1400' and snow seldom isolates us or presents any serious inconvenience during the winter months. Access to the Retreat Center from Interstate Highway 5 is always open and an easy one hour drive. Description: St. Benedict

The rates vary according to the group, with the best rates given to Catholic youth groups during the school year. Groups pay  $23.00 (under 18) and $28.00 (adults) per person, per night for our second floor monastic single rooms. These actual have the best views. Ground floor and handycap accessible rooms are avaialible - some as part of the large group package, some at their own prices. Because of the demand for weekends, we ask that you have (or at least pay for) a minimum of 30 people for our weekend retreats.

The Retreat Center is never used by more than one large group at a time and can accommodate 84 persons in the large group package. On the second floor of the main A-frame buildings, there is the following breakdown: 44 persons in private, one-bed rooms; 20 persons in five rooms that each have 2 bunk beds; and 12 persons in a dormitory which has 6 bunk beds. All of these rooms are on the second floor are not 'wheelchair accessible.' For these rooms guests should bring their own sleeping bags, or twin-sized linen, bDescription: Fall at

As part of the large group package, there are the Meadow, Sahalie, Library rooms all on the ground floor and handicap accessible with 8 more beds. Confer our "private retreat" section for the further ground floor  handycap accessible rooms.  All groups that come to the Retreat Center have access to the fully equipped kitchen and dining room where they can either prepare their own meals or bring someone to cook. St. Benedict's does not provide meal service. Often groups have family members or others who belive in your cause and cook without charge and give you better meals because they know you. We can offer names of cooks who can be hired by the group.

Our main Lodge and Chapel provide beautiful spots for large meetings or prayer services. We have quite a few breakout rooms for small groups.

Weekends require a two night minimum and scheduling is often done a year or more in advance. Description:
